Dear Visitors, Partners, Alumni, Students, and Friends,
I am delighted to welcome you to Redeemer’s University’s Directorate of Strategic Communications and Development.
The power of connection between individuals, concepts, and organisations is at the core of our university’s development. Our Directorate aims to deepen such ties by spearheading initiatives in communication, collaborations, fundraising, internationalisation, and enterprise development. We take pride in being a crucial conduit between the institution and the outside world, sharing our experiences, fostering connections, and attracting support that promotes excellence in research, teaching, and volunteer work.
We also value our donors and graduates, whose ongoing support and kindness help to fortify our foundation. We are fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators with the opening of our Knowledge and Enterprise Development Hub. We are also pleased to welcome students from all around the world into our academic community as we expand our international presence.

About the Directorate
The Directorate of Strategic Communications and Development is at the heart of the university’s efforts to promote its image, mobilize resources, and build lasting relationships. Our mission is to tell compelling stories of the university, connect with key stakeholders, and support initiatives that drive development, growth, innovation, and global impact.

Our Core Focus Areas
Resource Mobilisation, Fundraising, Sponsorship, and Endowment Management
We create and implement strategies and plans to attract resources (financial and in-kind) to support institutional priorities. From managing campaigns and engaging donors to creating endowments, we guarantee long-term funding for teaching, research, infrastructure, and student well-being.
What we do:
- Lead university-wide fundraising campaigns
- Develop and manage endowment funds
- Engage corporate and philanthropic sponsors
- Ensure accountability and transparency in fund utilisation
Marketing Communication
We oversee the university’s digital platforms, media relations, and brand in order to share our narrative and make our voice heard. We make sure the university stays engaged, visible, and reputable by creating strategic content and implementing targeted outreach.
Our services include:
- Content creation (videos, articles, brochures, social media)
- Campaign design and implementation
- Media and public relations
- Internal communication coordination
Linkages, Alumni, and Donor Relations
We foster strong ties with our partners, donors, and alumni to support collaborative opportunities and long-term development. We create enduring connections and build lasting bridges through alumni engagement, events or partnership agreements.
